Comfrey is called knitbone for a reason. It is an incredible healer of tissues, from skin to bones and everything in between.

Comfrey can be taken internally. There are a lot of myths out there about its internal use. I suggest you check out Susun Weed´s The Comfrey Conference for a massive amount of information on the truth behind comfrey.

For now we are talking comfrey for the skin and in particular we are talking about using her leaves (you can also use her roots topically and they are potent medicine).

Comfrey is such an amazing healer for irritated, dry, need-nourishment skin conditions. This salve can also be applied to bruises, bumps and even sprains and broken bones to speed recovery.

You can even use this comfrey salve as a face cream (I do!).

No home apothecary can be without comfrey.

Suggested usage for comfrey leaf salve (besides just daily care):

Once your wound is closed, apply liberally to heal cuts, scrapes, bruises, burns and itches.

Apply also to dry skin. Use as your daily moisturizer.

NOTE: This comfrey salve contains comfrey leaf, olive oil and grass-fed beef tallow. It is unlabelled.

Tallow is also VERY nourishing for the skin (even when it´s just on it´s own).
