What we do
-
We grow food
At the heart of our collective is a passion for gardening using regenerative methods like permaculture. We focus on increasing yields without relying on toxic chemicals, fostering healthier ecosystems and communities. Our gatherings take place in farms and gardens of all sizes, where we collaborate on group activities to design and implement resilient food-growing systems. Together, we envision a future with vibrant community gardens, flourishing food forests, and landscapes designed for water harvesting, sustainable land use, and reforestation. Through these practices, we aim to transform our relationship with the land and cultivate abundance for generations to come.
-
We build and craft
Our collective is deeply engaged in building and crafting projects that honor natural materials and traditional techniques. From creating farm infrastructure and greenhouses to natural construction projects, we prioritize using resources like cob, wood, and straw, incorporating methods such as timber framing and natural insulation. Beyond construction, we celebrate the art of crafting through activities like knitting, weaving, and creating willow baskets, along with other handmade traditions. These practices not only support our communities but also reflect our commitment to creativity, resilience, and harmony with the environment. Together, we build structures and craft goods that embody the spirit of resilience and ingenuity.
-
& so much more
Our collective thrives on a wide range of activities and is always open to ideas from new and existing members. We engage in projects like composting, seed saving, herbal medicine, tree planting, natural dyeing, wildlife habitat creation, water harvesting, pollinator-friendly gardening, and collaborative land design. If you’re passionate about connecting with others and creating a resilient future, we’d love for you to join us!
