Violet Flower and Leaf ELIXIR (wildcrafted)
Lymph and breast support

Violet (Viola odorata) is such a precious and sweet medicine. She grows in the early spring in shady areas. Her leaves look like hearts and they can be harvested throughout the summer, long after the purple flowers have disappeared until next year.
I like making violet sodas and vinegars with both the flowers and the leaves.
(Check out the homepage for the link to my herbal sodas course!)
And I LOVE making violet elixirs.
Violet is an ally for your lymphatic system. A healthy lymphatic system means the fluids in your body are vibrant and flowing well. Your internal waste management system depends on movement.
Taking violet elixir WITH a regular practice of dry brushing is an amazing combination to keep your lymph moving and grooving.
(Google “dry brushing” to learn more; it´s a beautiful tool to incorporate into your self-care routine and it doesn´t take much time at all).
Suggested use and dosage of violet elixir:
Take 1 - 4 dropperfuls as needed (which is about 25 - 100 drops as each dropperful is 25 drops).
You can drop the elxiir right into the mouth. The presence of honey in an elixir makes it a gentler medicine than a regular tincture which is why it´s ok to put it directly into the mouth.
I generally take one dropperful of violet elixir each morning as a way to start my day, either before or after my dry brushing session. If I felt a presence of swollen lymph nodes I would up my dosage to 1 dropperful several times a day and also increase daily self-massage and dry brushing.
Thank you to violet for your sweet medicine. You are both medicine and food!
¡Eat something wild every day! ¡Like Violet!
